Day 1: Moving Out

Today is the first day of summer, I arrived home this afternoon in an SUV fully packed with the contents of a seventeen year old boy's dorm room. I've decided to start my summer with a new project I was inspired to take on from a film I saw on vimeo called Today

The projects entails me posting one picture everyday this summer with the purpose of representing the day. I've noticed that whenever I take a picture, no matter how simple the subject, I can always recall the exact situation and context of the photo. Hopefully, what this will allow me to do, is give meaning and organization to the summer which is often a jumble of random events that can pass as quickly as they can be forgotten. My goal is to try to improve my memory, and give purpose to each day; carpe diem in a way. At then end of the summer, my plan is to put together a film from these stills.
